Business owners in Thailand may not want Rihanna coming back to the southeast Asian country anytime soon.
The singer’s posts on social media during her trip in September previously led to the arrest of two Thai men who were allegedly in possession of a controlled species, and now it looks like more of her tweets have gotten someone else in trouble.
It is reported that a bar owner in Phucket, which is south of Bangkok, has been arrested and is facing charges of obscenity and operating an entertainment venue without a permit. The arrest comes after Rihanna tweeted about a lewd sex show that she witnessed at a bar in Phucket.
The sex show featured a woman doing explicit “tricks” with animals. Thailand officials say that they are working to eliminate all live adult entertainment in Phucket; and they arrested the gentleman after they saw Rihanna’s tweets.
“Authorities found out about this bar the morning after Rihanna tweeted about it, but we were not able to catch them violating the law until Saturday night,” Phucket District Chief Weera Kerdsirimongkon said, according to Billboard. “We had been waiting for them and finally caught them red-handed.”
The bar owner could face up to one month in prison and a fine of up to 60,000 baht (roughly $1,900).
