Kobe Bryant makes his first appearance on the practice court since his April Achilles’ tendon injury.
During the practice session, Bryant, 35, worked on some contact drills, shooting and strategy work.
Shortly after Bryant’s injury, there were rumors of his retirement that peaked when he took to Facebook to update fans about a coming “major” announcement; however, the announcement was in regards to his health weekend initiative in Dubai and he quickly squashed those retirement rumors via Twitter.
Bryant expressed that he remains motivated by the out-pour of continual skepticism about his return during his short interview with NBA TV following the practice. “That’s right there,” he said. “It’s very easy to get me going, hearing what everybody says and the countless times they write me off. That’s, like, really, really easy to hit that switch.”
Although Bryant is back on the court practicing with his team, there has been no planned date for his return to the game.
