Atlanta Falcon’s wide receiver Roddy White took advantage of playing earlier in the week to give back to children of the Atlanta metro area.
On Sunday, Nov. 24, 150 children from Atlanta area Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta and Big Brothers and Sisters organizations participated in ProCamp as the Falcon’s wide out partnered with Kroger to work with the youth on a variety of fundamental football skills.
White said that it was important for him to work with Kroger on the camp and “give back to the community and help the kids out.” When asked if he participated in events like the ProCamp when he was a youth, White said that coming from a small town in South Carolina there weren’t many opportunities to be a part of such events. “That’s why I try my best to give back to the community as much as possible. “
At the end of the camp, White and his Kroger partners surprised all of the kids by giving them each early Christmas presents.
