Sway Calloway opens up about Kanye West argument

Sway & Kanye West - Cover

Sway Calloway got the surprise of his career last month when his hip-hop pal, Kanye West, exploded on him on on-air during what was to be a peaceful interview about West’s experience of racism in the fashion industry. In the wake of the incident, fans quickly responded with a slew of hilarious memes, hashtags and comments about Sway, who remained relatively mum about the blowup. But now Sway is finally opening up about the argument and explaining how he now feels about West.

“I love Kanye West,” Sway said on Wednesday’s edition of MTV’s “Rap Fix Live.” “That’s my little brother. If you got a chance to see the interview, it got really intense. I will admit to that. But everything Kanye said, I think is true. In fact, I believe in everything that he’s trying to do. I think we all should listen to the message that’s in everything he said in the interview.”

As viewers remember, West famously exploded on Sway when he tried to offer his insight into the world of business and fashion and West yelled out that he doesn’t have “the answers.” But despite West’s yelling and his claims, Sway says that he, in fact, does have the answers and he’s now telling the whole world with a new line of shirts emblazoned with “I Got The Answers.”

Sway explained that the the T-shirts would be available through his website, swaysuniverse.com, and he also congratulated West on his new $10 million deal with adidas.

“Congratulations on the deal with adidas,” Calloway said.

We’re glad that Sway and West are still on good terms and, hopefully, both of them can find success with their respective lines.
