Imagine one moment your 11-year-old son is perfectly fine. Imagine the very next moment that he has fallen ill and is being rushed to the emergency room with a mysterious illness that lands him in the ICU.
On Nov. 26, 2013, that very thing happened to the parents of Jayden Harvey of Chicago.
Jayden is currently out of the ICU, but still under close watch at the hospital. Doctors have yet to pinpoint what the problem is and continue to run a battery of tests on Jayden. Extended hospital stays can become costly, not to mention the various tests that have been and still need to performed to determine the cause of Jayden’s illness.
To help alleviate some of the financial burden, the family has put together a fundraiser tonight at the Society Arts Gallery in Chicago, to go toward Jayden’s medical expenses. All are welcome to attend and lend support.
“Jayden is a really vibrant, energetic and very outgoing young man,” says his mother, Myisha Harvey. “He loves bow ties and sneakers. We just pray for a full recovery.”
The family asks for your support and prayers. Any interested individuals who would like to make a contribution but are unable to attend tonight’s fundraiser are encouraged to purchase a ticket via the eventbrite link as all proceeds will go toward Jayden’s medical expenses.
