Celebrities and volunteers make ‘golden fleece’ blankets in Atlanta
Inspired by Fox Home Entertainment’s film “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” a number of volunteers and celebs took to Atlanta’s Georgia Aquarium this week for a charitable cause. Project Linus brought out actress Stephanie Leigh Schlund of “The Hunger Games” as well as reps from the Atlanta Mayor’s Office, UPS and Fox to make hundreds of blankets for children in hospitals.
The event tied into the December 17th Blu-ray and DVD release of “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” and the blanket’s designs were inspired by the golden fleece featured in the film. Tied together with love and care, the “golden fleece” blankets will keep kids warm this holiday season at local hospitals.
