Romo, a talented but error-prone signal caller — especially in big games and in the month of December in recent years — reinjured his back in the improbable comeback win against their most bitter rivals, the Washington Redskins, 24-23 on Sunday.
ESPN reported late Monday afternoon that Romo has a herniated disk in his lower back that will require him to be sidelined for the rest of the season. The Cowboys, including owner Jerry Jones and head coach Jason Garrett, have yet to confirm the reports and said Romo is day-to-day and may even play on Sunday.
