After weeks of anticipation following the announcement of his collaboration with adidas, Kanye West has announced the release date for his new sneaker. During a recent interview on a Chicago radio show, West revealed that his adidas collection will debut in September of 2014. West in looking to cash in on both men’s and women’s styles, offering a variety of unisex, male and female sportswear.
Nike has also announced that the Red Nike Air Yeezy 2 will be available online only on Dec. 27 at 8 a.m. EST, we’re assuming to avoid the kind of violence that has erupted with releases at brick-and-mortar stores.
On Nov. 30, we reported that Yeezy was frustrated with Nike over the release date of his follow-up sneaker. During one of his epic rants following a performance at Barclays Center, West called out by Nike CEO Mark Parker before moving on with his $10 million dollar adidas deal. Looks Like West can sleep a little easier this holiday season. –ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie
