The official debut studio album from Killer Mike and El-P was even better than fans anticipated. There wasn’t a smarter, angrier and more engaging hip-hop record made this year; and these two guys thrive off of each other’s strengths and weaknesses, buoyed by a shared sense of purpose and artistic ambition.
