Beyoncé ‘Self-Titled’ Part 5 (Honesty)
Beyoncé has released the last installment in her self-titled mini documentary. Titled “Honesty,” it shows the singer expressing her views on making age appropriate music for fans who’ve followed her career despite impending criticism.
“Now I’m in my 30s, and those children that grew up listening to me have grown up, and I always felt like it was my responsibility to be aware of kids and their parents and all these generations,” says Beyoncé.
“And I felt like, in a sense, I could not express everything,” she adds. “I’ve done so many things in my life, in my career, that I feel like at this point I’ve earned the right to be me and to express any and every side of myself.”
There are also appearances from Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Pharrell, who praise her for tapping into her sensual side on the track “Rocket.”
“You set women free!” says Pharrell. “That record is a phenomenon!”
