Sasheer Zamata joins “Saturday Night Live” this month as the first black female comic in the show’s cast in six years. An actress, writer, and comedian, Zamata lives in New York City. Have earned a degree in Drama at the University of Virginia, she moved to the Big Apple in 2009 and started performing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.
She hosts a variety show called “School Night at UCBNY,” performs improv with Doppelganger and with BUCKY on Harold Night at UCBNY and produces a webseries called “Pursuit of Sexiness.”
