Social media is currently being flooded with congratulatory messages to the men of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. who are celebrating their 100th Founders Day. The black Greek organization was founded at Washington, D.C.’s Howard University on Jan. 9, 1914.

The men of Phi Beta Sigma pride themselves on exemplifying the ideals of brotherhood, scholarship and service and have a tight bond with their sister organization, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.

Earlier this morning, Al Roker, who is an honorary member of the organization, celebrated during the “Today” show alongside a plethora of his Sigma brothers. The weatherman donned a new jacket gifted to him by his fraternity and posed for photos.

Other celebrity Sigmas include former President Bill Clinton, Al Sharpton, Terrence Howard, Hines Ward, Braylon Edwards and Blair Underwood.

Congratulations to the men of Phi Beta Sigma on 100 years of service!
