Richard Sherman interview
After helping the Seattle Seahawks beat the San Francisco 49ers, cornerback Richard Sherman gave a post interview that left tongues wagging. When the boisterous NFL star was asked by correspondent Erin Andrews to “take her through” the final play of the game, Sherman exploded and called out the 49ers’ wide receiver Michael Crabtree.
“Well, I’m the best cornerback in the game when you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree that’s the result you gonna get!” barked Sherman.
“Don’t you ever talk about me!” he added looking directly in the camera.
After a puzzled Andrews asked Sherman who he was referring to, Sherman said [Michael] Crabtree and offered to “shut his mouth for him.”
The explosive interview was the talk of the night on Twitter and quickly trended alongside memes and hashtags comparing the NFL player to a WWE superstar.
And while the majority of people were amused by Sherman’s smack talk, others called him “classless” for displaying unsportsmanlike conduct.
