Blowtorch rapist on loose in Detroit
A black man in Detroit has the city gripped in fear. Dubbed the “blowtorch” rapist by law enforcement, he has assaulted numerous women. The latest victim, a 43-year-old woman, stated she was getting gas when a man jumped her from behind and put a gun to her head. He then forced her into a car, ripped off her clothes and began burning her face with a blowtorch. During the assault she grabbed a screwdriver and stabbed her attacker in the eye, the attacker exited the car and fled in a beige vehicle.
Police have described the blowtorch rapist as a dark-skinned black man in his mid-20s, weighing around 185 pounds. The attack on the most recent victim is similar in nature to two attacks that occurred in July of 2013. At that time two women were attacked in vacant lots and both had their clothes ripped off and were sexually assaulted and set on fire. The women were left in critical condition but survived the attack.
