Famously outspoken rapper Azealia Banks is going off on her record label, Universal. Banks publicly aired her grievances with her label in a series of Twitter posts this weekend, where she asked to be dropped due to her frustrations with “old white guys.”

“I REALLY should have signed with Sony,” Banks tweeted. “I would literally give anything to be on XL right now…I’m tired of having to consult group a of old white guys about my black girl craft. they don’t even know what they’re listening for or to…I’m literally begging to be dropped from Universal…Universal needs to just hand me over to another label who knows what to do with me.”

Banks continued, stating that she has new music that she wants to share.

“My fans really need some new music,” she said. “I’ve been gratefully riding off of mixtape fumes for the past two years, but I’m more ready than ever.”

“Can someone at Sony buy me off Universal please?” she asked. “I’m really in hell here.”

Banks gained a tremendous amount of buzz in 2011 and 2012, but her debut studio album has yet to be released. Over the past two years, she’s become as known for her publicly feuds on social media (with everyone from Perez Hilton to Lil Kim) as she is for her music.
