Kenya Moore refuses to take blame for ‘RHOA’ fight

All week long, several of the cast mates of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” have been on an apology campaign to fans after Sunday night’s explosive episode, in which Apollo Nida brutally attacked Kenya Moore’s assistant, Brandon DeShazer. However, the one taking the blame in everybody’s apology has always been Moore and DeShazer, who everyone claims instigated the fight. However, in a recent Bravo Blog post from Moore, she defends her BFF and refuses to take blame for the brawl.

In their apologies, both NeNe Leakes and Peter Thomas have claimed that, unknown to fans due to editing, DeShazer hit Nida first before “Housewives” husband responded with a barrage of blows. However, Moore claims that Nida maliciously attacked DeShazer without any provocation.

“Apollo clearly and without provocation attacked and brutally battered Brandon. The alteration was contained and nonviolent until Apollo charged Brandon and started relentlessly beating him. Brandon could send him behind bars for an automatic felony. However, that is Brandon’s decision alone to make. My only concern was for Brandon’s safety,” Moore wrote.

Moore also denies the cast’s claims that the fight was spurred by her confrontation with Christopher Williams’ wife, Natalie, whom she stood up to confront over her questions about the validity of Natalie’s marriage. Instead, Moore claims that Leakes was the real instigator of the night, saying the “RHOA” vet is threatened by her.

“She had already set the stage with her pointed inflammatory questions and her obnoxious ‘I am the star’ attitude. She was out of line and I saw little trace of the sweetness that NeNe had come to love hanging out with,” she wrote.

“When NeNe charged at me and tried to blame me really showed how irrational and manipulative she could be. There is no alternative universe that would hold me accountable for Apollo assaulting Brandon. Apollo is a convicted felon having served 6 years in prison. He is a liar and he is out of control,” Moore later added.

Although Moore refuses to take any blame for the situation, she does apologize to fans for how things went down.

“With that said, I wholeheartedly apologize for the fact that anyone had to witness this behavior or that any persons would stand on the wrong side of right to prove a point to themselves. I do not condone violence on any level. We fight people daily for respect, for our rights and for our dignity. There’s no excuse for this type of behavior,” she wrote.

Well, clearly, this is one messy situation but it’s not the first time a fight has broken out on camera. Check out some other infamous reality TV fights after the cut. – nicholas robinson
