Facebook celebrated their 10th year of operation on the Web yesterday. In appreciation to their loyal social media fans they created Facebook “Look Back” movies for each user.  The movies are personalized videos highlighting their top content over the years, starting from day 1 to now. To create your movie, click on the link facebook.com/lookback and it will take you to a video created from their history on the social network.

Facebook then allows you to share your video by clicking on a “Share Your Movie” button located at the top right corner of the page. Upon posting, it shares the link and hashtags #FacebookIs10.

Facebook spent several weeks putting together the “Look Back” feature, according to The Verge.

“One of the things that motivated us was that there’s really only a handful of companies that could take on something like this — that could render videos for as many people as we can,” Nick Kwiatek, Facebook’s engineering lead on the project, told The Verge.

How cool do you think the “Look Back” movies are that Facebook created? –joi pearson
