Petition circulating to stop Zimmerman fight; will you sign?

Zimmerman Arrested

George Zimmerman is not a celebrity; he is the killer of Trayvon Martin, who would have been 19 yesterday. But now this killer is getting media attention because of his planned celebrity fight with DMX.

Why is America even entertaining this idea? Has the hatred of black people gotten so bad that blood sport is what is now being demanded?

The message being sent to our children, both black and white, is very confusing and twisted. Kill someone over race and you could become not infamous but famous. Facebook pages are springing up asking people to “stop the Zimmerman fight” and the White House petition “Stop George Zimmerman and Promoter Damon Feldman from using murder & racial hate in America for Profit” has 9,834 signatures since it was created three days ago. When the petition reaches 100,000 signatures, the White House will respond.

The petition states in part; “The entire idea of this event is to use racial tensions to lure people in to purchase the event. This will only hurt America as it will continue to stir up racial tensions that have been ongoing in this nation for quite some time. No promoter or celebrity boxer should ever be allowed to use racial tension to profit.”

It is time for the people of this country to take a stand and make the White House answer this petition, and to make sure that no boxing license is granted by any state for this event.

Stop George Zimmerman from fighting.

It seems as though celebs are promoting the fight. Could be wrong since his tweet is somewhat vague about this Zimmerman fight, but even Morris chestnut, who has a huge female following appears to be a promoter of the fight. if he or some other influential celeb were to speak against it, then getting those needed signatures would be a breeze… Image of using the celebrity to end this madness during black history month. All we need is just one to take the lead.. One that ppl would actually follow.
