Kenya Moore says cast mates gave Kandi Burruss free pass over fight

Kenya Moore & Kandi Burruss - Beef Cover

The fight between Apollo Nida and Brandon DeShazer ended many weeks ago, but the battle is still raging on between NeNe Leakes and Kenya Moore over who’s to blame for the most controversial fight in “Real Housewives of Atlanta” history. Although both women have taken heat from the public for the fight, Moore claims that co-star, Kandi Burruss, got a free pass on her part in the drama while she unfairly got blamed for the brawl.

In a recent Bravo Blog post, Moore spoke again about the brawl and explained that she feels the other women are ganging up on her.

“Firstly, I expected more from these women. Regardless of what personal feelings they may have against me, I am a woman first. We are all women,” she wrote.

Moore then addressed Burruss’ fight during Sunday night’s episode, in which she argued with Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas and then threatened to beat up Bailey’s sister, Malorie, after Mal pushed her.

“I watched Kandi explode into a blackout rage stating she would ‘kill’ people and ‘drag them.’ We all have triggers and are not perfect. My issue is not with Kandi’s fit of anger, but with the acceptance of her behavior from the women over the same point that I attempted to make: NO ONE SHOULD EVER PUT HIS OR HER HANDS ON YOU,” Moore wrote.

Moore then explained that she’s ashamed at how her cast mates reacted to all of the violence that occurred as well as the threats to the safety of the women in the room, namely herself.

“During the aftermath of the melee, I watched each woman cavalierly recall the events as each laughed about what happened to Brandon and at their behavior, none acknowledging Apollo’s assault on Brandon. Not one single woman called Brandon to check on him. Secondly, men have physically abused some of us, including NeNe, in our past. Instead of NeNe pointing the blame at me for standing, they all should have been outraged that a man would grab me for any reason in their presence. Yet, they chose to focus on rudimentary finger pointing and attempting to make me the fall guy,” she wrote.

Moore is certainly correct in saying that the majority of the cast misbehaved and played a part in the disturbing drama that has unfolded these last two episodes. However, the difference between Moore and Burruss is that Burruss has apologized and paid her penance for her role in the drama while Moore has yet to take any blame.
