Another viscous attack by youths on an innocent bystander has occurred in the nationwide knockout game phenomenon. Army veteran Matthew Robinson was riding public transportation in Cleveland, Ohio when he was surrounded by six to eight black youths.  During the attack, the gang shouted racial slurs of “cracker” and “Knock that white boy out” as they pummeled Robinson. Ultimately, they stole all of his belongings and fled. However, a recording of the attack was captured on cellphone video. The person who recorded the attack was one of the members of the group. The group was arrested a short time later. A total of  three suspects were arrested: Kenneth Matthews, Ronald Reid Williams and a 16 year old girl who recorded the attack and still had the evidence on her phone.

Robinson is a college student trying to improve himself when he was attacked as he got off the bus. Robinson stated that the teens were stalking him and then finally attacked; no one stepped in to help Robinson. Cleveland police have reported an increase in these types of attacks in the downtown area on both white and black victims.
