St. Luke Community United Methodist Church is bringing Black History to Dallas with two extraordinary events.
Congressman John Lewis is a walking history book. He has been involved in sit-ins, freedom rides, he was a voting rights warrior, a soldier for human rights and he played a key role in both the march to Selma, and the march on Washington. Congressman Lewis is a legislator, a fighter for immigration reform and a builder of the beloved community.
Sunday, February 23rd, Congressman Lewis will speak at St. Luke Community UMC at the 11am service.
After the service, he will sign his newest book, March: Book One. Bring your family, friends, co-workers, and especially our children and youth to listen and learn from Congressman John Lewis.
On Thursday, February 27, to bring Black History Month to a close, St. Luke Community UMC will host “In Conversation: An Evening with Zan Holmes.
