For one ordinary black man, he had just about enough of not measuring up to Hollywood ladies man Idris Elba. Exasperated, the spurned lover composed a poem (pictured above), supposedly to his significant other, to enumerate the ways in which he benefits her life despite the fact that she allegedly compares him unfavorably to “The Wire” and Long Road to Freedom actor.
Many women summarily denounced the poem as sappy and weak. But the man’s fellow brethren on Twitter took up the charge and began to detail the ways they help their woman — and to say they are also tired of apologizing for not being Idris Elba. The responses are hilarious. Check it out.

The response was so great that Elba soon responded, which made the women even hotter for the heartthrob:
Elba said “I’m not sorry I’m Idris Elba.”
