Detroit mom stands her ground with M1 assault rifle

Home Invasion
Detroit mom sends teen punks running

A black mom in Detroit yesterday “stood her ground” to protect her children. Three teenage punks broke down her door in an attempted home invasion, but were met with fierce resistance. The mother locked herself and her daughters in a room with an M1 assault rifle. When the teens attempted entry she warned them that she had a gun. The home invading teens yelled, “No you don’t,” and tried to enter the room.

Her daughter told her mom, “Oh no mommy, I don’t want them to take my piggy bank or my toys.”

The unidentified mother of two then let her rifle speak for the family. The blasts from her rifle sent the three teens scrambling for their lives as mom let loose several blasts. While running out of the house, one of the robbers dropped a fake handgun he picked up and tried to use it to re-enter the house.  This was a big mistake because the mother let loose again and the young punk took off, running for his life. The three teens were arrested shortly, after a rapid response from Detroit police. The attempted home invasion was caught on a security camera.

Police Chief James Craig stated at a press conference, “She certainly protected herself and her young children, she did nothing wrong. Even after the victim warned advised the suspects that she was armed, there was an aggressive attempt to enter into her residence.”

Two of the teens are still being held by the police and both have criminal records, including a firearm charge. The third teen was released on bond. The father of the family had just given his wife the tactical assault rifle two weeks ago and was relieved that his wife used the weapon.  If she did not have the weapon, he could have come home to a dead family.

The family did not want to be identified.
