Atlanta CEO Clifton Camp lands film starring Halle Berry, Eddie Murphy

Attorney Clifton L. Camp, the founder of MarketingCamp LLC, a marketing company that builds brands in the fashion, lifestyle, film, publishing, and entertainment industries, is about to make a big splash in Tinselton. The Atlanta native, via of Detroit, recently became the executive producer of the film Miles and Me, which stars A-listers Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne and Eddie Murphy.

No stranger to working with noteworthy celebrities and brands, Camp serves on the board of directors for Big Boi’s Big Kidz Foundation, on the host committees for the 3rd Annual Flavors & Colors of Haiti and the 2nd Annual Georgia Entertainment Awards. Having worked with affiliates and clients including UPTOWN magazine, K&G Fashion Superstores, Dwele, Real Times Media, artist Glbert Young and so many more.

Please describe you leadership style as a CEO.
My leadership style is being “clear and concise.” This method allows me to understand the collective knowledge and skills of a group thus effectively connecting a set of standards for performance. [This method] emphasizes and develops teamwork to ascertain goals and direction.


What is your mission statement?
“… in our Camp, we promote Fire!”

What three skill set are critical for the future executive that you hire for your organization.

How does having an advanced degree benefit you and your clients?
Having advanced degrees has been beneficial in allowing me to implement solutions for myself, company and clients, coupled with credibility.

How do you utilize technology to benefit your organization?
MarketingCamp has jumped on the social media bandwagon, which has increase our bottom line and grow; through awareness for our business, which has been a very powerful marketing tool. We could drive additional customer loyalty, by producing a regular blog, which would help with the search engines.

I am currently reading David and Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell.

Two of my previously read favorite books are The Educated Child by William J. Bennett and Driven to Distraction by Edward M. Hallowell, M.D. and John J. Ratey, M.D.
