Fans of Kim Zolciak watched her finally begin building her dream home on the first season of “Don’t Be Tardy,” with plans to have the home finished within the year. However, Zolciak’s dream home just turned into a financial nightmare as reports reveal that she’s just been hit with two tax liens that may cost her that dream home.
According to RadarOnline, Zolciak and her husband, Kroy Biermann, owe thousands of dollars in back taxes split between two liens. One lien comes from the city of Milton, Ga., who they owe $1,665.26, and the other from the state of Georgia and Fulton County, who they owe $10,572.67.
The liens were issued on Jan. 9 and 11 and the couple has 90 days from those dates to pay the full bill or their home could be seized.
However, this isn’t the first financial problem the couple has had over the home. Zolciak and Biermann bought the house in December 2012 for $880,000, and throughout their reality show it seemed like renovations were moving along quickly. However, by Dec. 9, 2013, they signed off on a new credit line of $300,000 with Landmark Community Bank to finish the renovations on the 7,186-square-foot house.
Despite the snags, Zolciak doesn’t seem to be worried about her debt and she recently laughed off the matter on Twitter.
“Another day another bull**** story!I guess I better get to work to pay 12k” she tweeted Thursday.
Well, hopefully, these tax liens are just chump change to Zolciak and she doesn’t end up being evicted like these other stars. Check them out after the cut. –nicholas robinson
