Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick had star power written all over him from the beginning. He was named a partner in a Boston law firm at 34 and was the general counsel for Texaco and Coca-Cola.
After he finishes his term as the first black governor of the state of Massachusetts, he will take a well-deserved hiatus from politics. But most do not believe it will be for long. Obama himself recently said that Patrick would make an excellent vice president or president.
