Martin Cobb, 8, is a hero. The young man gave up his life to save his 12-year-old sister from a rapist. According to their aunt, Martin and his sister were playing in their backyard when they were approached by a stranger. After beating Martin to death with a rock and slashing the sister’s face and raping her, a manhunt was underway. Police were called to the scene when someone spotted the young girl running into the woods naked and bloody.
The girl, who is recovering in the hospital, initially told authorities the assailant was a white man with scraggly facial hair. She remains nameless due to her age and nature of the crime.
A black teen has since been apprehended. He is being evaluated at Tuckers Psychiatric Clinic and will be charged with murder and assault.
