A minister in Alabama was arrested for raping a 13-year-old girl. According to a report by “My Fox Alabama,” Minister Tyrone Banks misused his position in the church to gain the trust of a family and sexually assault their teenage daughter.

In early April, Minister Banks agreed to watch the 13-year-old girl after her mother needed to attend an event. Once the girl’s mother left the home, Banks drove the teen to a church in Hueytown, Ala.

Banks unlocked the door’s of the empty church and took the girl to the kitchen. He then raped the teenager inside of the church. Afterwards, he drove the girl back to her house.

The girl told her mother about the sexual assault and they called police to report the crime. Banks was arrested, but he claimed that he didn’t have sex with the teenager.

He was eventually charged with rape by forcible compulsion and first degree sodomy. Banks was released on a $120,000 bond on May 4.
