White House photos of the week

Michelle Obama Bring Back Our Girls

All is quiet on the White House grounds this past week after President Barack Obama hosted the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner. But just because the crowd died down, doesn’t mean the work has. First lady Michelle Obama showed her support for the “Bring Back Our Girls” campaign, which calls for the rescue of more than 200 Nigerian schoolgirls abducted by the Islamic extremist group, Boko Haram. After a slew of celebrities and international platforms brought much attention to the issue nearly a week after the horrific incident, the first lady’s photo surfaced as President Obama announced a team of experts were being dispatched to assist the Nigerian government.

Aside from international affairs, President Obama spent some time with a family in tornado-ravaged Vilonia, Arkansas, took advantage of Tuesday’s sunny weather by giving interviews in the Rose Garden, and granted Aidan Lamothe, the 2014 March of Dimes Ambassador’s request of seeing him and Bo, the Obama’s family dog, during his visit to the Oval Office.

Take a look at what else President Obama got into this week in our White House photos.
