Footage surfaced May 12 of Beyoncé’s sister, singer-songwriter Solange Knowles, attacking her famous brother-in-law Jay Z in an elevator at the Standard Hotel in New York City on May 5. The incident took place shortly after the Met Gala after party, and was captured via security surveillance cameras.

The Standard Hotel has released a statement regarding the footage’s release, voicing concern that such a breach happened.

“We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests,” The Standard says in the statement, which was published by PageSix. “We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity.”

None of the involved parties have spoken publicly about what caused Solange to assault Jay Z. The sisters were seen leaving the event together, while Jay departed in a separate car, according to TMZ.
