Actor Jamal Woolard, who became famous in 2009 after landing the role of Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace in the biopic “Notorious,” has been arrested for spousal abuse. According to TMZ, Woolard allegedly choked his wife in front of his stepson.
The incident occurred this past Saturday night in Snellville, Georgia, which is northeast of Atlanta. Police responded to a 9-1-1 call from Woolard’s stepson, who called about a domestic dispute. According to reports, Woolard’s wife Alisha says the actor began screaming at her after she scolded their young daughter.
Alisha says that Woolard grabbed her by the throat and slammed her against the wall, screaming “Get the f— off of my daughter!” in front of her 15-year old son. The teen then called the police and said that “My stepdad, he hit my mom and now he’s acting crazy.”
“You’re going to jail!” the stepson can be heard yelling on the 9-1-1 recording. “F— you, n—-; I’m tired of you disrespecting my mom.”
The teenager said that he heard his mother making “choking sounds” before he called 9-1-1. His mother reportedly told him to call the authorities.
