Arlen Escarpeta cast as Bobby Brown in “Whitney” biopic
Star Trek Into Darkness star Arlen Escarpeta has been cast as R&B’s notorious playboy, Bobby Brown, in Lifetime’s upcoming made for TV “Whitney Houston” biopic.
The 33-year-old will join YaYa DaCosta [cast as Whitney Houston] in the Angela Bassett-directed film, said to chronicle Houston’s early success in the music industry in the late ’80s to early ’90s, to her volatile relationship with the former New Edition singer.
Escarpeta’s big screen career includes the 2013 scyfy hit Star Trek Into Darkness, Final Destination 5, Friday the 13th and We Are Marshall.
