Hope Solo arrested for domestic violence

Team USA goalkeeper Hope Solo was arrested yesterday morning in Seattle, Washington after allegedly assaulting her sister and 17-year-old nephew.

According to TMZ,

“Cops say when they arrived to Solo’s home, there was a huge rager going on at the residence – – Solo allegedly got into an argument with her sister and nephew during the party — and released the fury … attacking them so badly, they each had ‘visible injuries’ when cops arrived.”

The 32-year-old Solo was arrested and booked at the county jail on two counts of domestic violence assault. Unfortunately for the star soccer goalie, this was not her first brush with domestic abuse. In 2012, her then boyfriend, ex-NFL player Jerramy Stevens, was arrested following an alleged assault on the soccer player. Stevens was soon after released due to insufficient evidence and was never formally charged with a crime.

The couple has since married.

As for Solo, she is due in court on Monday and may very well have to “pay the piper” for her crime. – ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie
