Chico Del Vec, a former member of the ’90s rap group Junior M.A.F.I.A. blasted Christopher “C.J.” Wallace, Jr., son of the late Notorious B.I.G., for being “gay.” In an interview with Forbez DVD, Chico said that he believes C.J. is gay after seeing a graduation picture of the teenager hugging another man from behind. Chico originally made the statement on Facebook and was criticized by Biggie fans and others.
“I was talking the truth about n—as,” said Chico in regards to the Facebook post. “I said something about CJ, Big’s son. He gay. N—a gay. After I seen this little footage s–t, I was mad.”
“Look at this, man,” Chico said after pulling up the photo in question. “What that look like to you, man? Is that suspect? Talking about ‘Biggie kid not gay.’ Look at this s–t. If that was my son, I’d whoop his a–. I’m not gon’ hug–my son not gon’ hug you from the back talking about ‘Graduation happy.’ Look at this s–t! Look! Do this look suspect, man or what? That’s gay. That’s gay all the way.”
C.J. Wallace, 18, has never publicly spoken about his sexuality.
In May, another former member of Junior M.A.F.I.A., longtime Biggie associate Lil Cease, said that B.I.G. himself would not have a problem with Mr. Cee; one of the rapper’s closest friends who’s openly admitted to engaging in sexual acts with men.
“Your friends [are] your friends,” Lil’ Cease told Vlad TV at the time. “You know what I’m saying? You got somebody you’re cool with they gonna tell you what they think the right thing to do is. I think just on the strength of their friendship Big would have supported whatever he was doing. Cause Big knows he was a major part in helping him get to where he was going in his career.”
