Sherri Shepherd comes out victorious in court! On Monday, “The View” co-host appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court to determine whether or not her ex-husband Jeffrey Tarpley’s petition for temporary physical custody of their 9-year-old son, Jeffrey, would be approved.
According to court documents obtained by People, after a very nasty, public custody battle, Judge Michelle Williams has denied Tarpley’s request, citing that “there has not been a material change in circumstances.”
Following the judgement, Shepherd thanked her fans for all of their support…
Keep the prayers coming … Still got more battles – please judge me by my character and not from the tabloids who are having a slow news day

On April 2, Tarpley filed a declaration in family court claiming that Shepherd was neglecting their son through “poor parenting choices and refusal to provide for our child’s immediate needs.”
Tarpley noted that Shepherd’s busy “career is seven days per week non-stop,” resulting in the alleged neglect of their child.
In June, Shepherd addressed her public custody battle during a brief interview with People by saying “I stand behind my character and integrity — You can’t hold me down — I’m a wonderful mama.”
Although Shepherd has been able to put this one custody battle to rest, in May, reports surfaced that there is an additional custody battle brewing between Shepherd and her estranged husband Lamar Sally, over their unborn child via surrogate. That case is developing. – ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie
