5) U.S. Border and Immigration–Even though it is assumed that this is a domestic policy issue, it is in fact an international issue. The United States has to deal with the influx of Central American children from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. The issue is no longer only one of illegal immigration but of refugees fleeing a failed state.
