Rapper and reality TV star Lil Scrappy went off on the host at the Nickelodeon Suites Resort in Orlando, Florida. The “Love & Hip Hop” star was at the pool with his 9-year-old daughter Emani and Momma D for a game where the staff picks kids to come to the stage for games.
But Momma D told TMZ that Scrappy became angry after the staff continuously passed over his daughter — as well as other black kids. So he confronted the host.
In footage that surfaced, Scrappy walks over to the host in the middle of the show, but what he says to her is inaudible. “I’m sorry —we’re in the middle of a show here,” she can be heard saying into the microphone. Immediately after, another woman walks over and Scrappy’s daughter is seen leading the still-angry father away. Momma D can be seen talking to the second woman.
According to Momma D, Scrappy said: “You need to pick my daughter. This is some racist a– s—.” The person who shot the footage allegedly agreed with Scrappy.
A rep for the resort quickly addressed the situation, saying that they don’t discriminate on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. They add that participants and hosts must follow specific protocol, but didn’t elaborate on what that protocol includes. It was also stated that Scrappy’s daughter did eventually participate in the show.
