The bodies of Clarence and Shauna Washington, both 35, were found along with their three daughters: Omesha, 13, Onya, 6, and Olivia 4, at their home in Culpepper, Virginia on Sunday, August 3. They each appeared to have been fatally shot in an apparent murder-suicide.

Family and friends report the Washingtons had ongoing domestic issues. Clarence worked two jobs. His day job was at Bingham and Taylor Foundry and at night he was a school custodian. Shauna was the leader of two Girl Scout troops – the Daisy and Cadet levels.

Family members grew concerned when the Washingtons didn’t attend church on Sunday following a reported heated argument which took place on Saturday.

A family member also told NBC Washington Shauna “wanted out of the marriage” but Clarence, who owned four guns, didn’t.
