Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, has been sitting behind bars for the past 11 months, awaiting sentencing for an incident that happened last September. He has finally learned his fate.
On Wednesday, Aug. 20, the “Gucci vs. Guwop” rapper was sentenced to 39 months in federal prison, after pleading guilty to possession of a Glock 40-caliber handgun. If he’d gone to trial, Gucci Mane could have faced up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
Fortunately for the Atlanta rapper, the 11 months he has already been locked up leaves him with just 28 months to serve of his sentence. He may also have to limit his travel for three years following his release.
