Cee Lo apologizes for rape tweets

On Sept. 2, “Bright Lights Bigger City” singer Cee Lo Green found himself in the doghouse, after he allegedly tweeted that sex with an unconscious person can’t be classified as rape. Shortly after he sent Twitter into a tizzy, Green reportedly deleted the tweets, but unfortunately for the Grammy winner, the damage was already done.

After several screenshots of his controversial tweets were published online, TBS, the home network to his “The Good Life” reality show decided to pull the plug on the unscripted series.

Last week, the “F— You” singer pleaded no contest to one felony count of drugging a woman with Ecstasy while dining at a Los Angeles eatery before going to her hotel room in 2012. Green was sentenced to three years’ probation and 360 hours of community service, in addition to completing 52 Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
