The death of unarmed teen Michael Brown and Ferguson, Missouri, transfixed the entire nation. The subsequent protests, which some have called riots, divided many people along racial lines. For some, these lines expose deep-rooted racial fears and animosity. Outright lies have been told about Michael Brown, his life, his actions and character. Even law enforcement, which should have a transparent investigation in Ferguson was complicit in painting a negative of Brown.

Let’s take a look at some of the things that have been said about Brown by mainstream media and other agents of disinformation.
