Iggy Azalea takes legal action against her ex-boyfriend

Iggy Azalea’s sex tape scandal has only been going on for the last couple of weeks, but already the rapper has seen it take roller-coaster levels of twists and turns. Her ex-boyfriend, rapper Hefe Wine, has claimed that he filmed the alleged sex tape with her and that she legally gave him permission to sell it. However, Azalea is now filing a lawsuit against Wine, but not over the sex tape.

Earlier this week, we reported that Wine claims Azalea signed a contract giving exclusive rights to “manufacture, sell, distribute and advertise ‘any’ recording embodying visual images.” Although Azalea originally signed the contract with the intention of simply creating music and videos, Wine believes the contract can apply to the alleged sex tape as long as he provides music for it.

According to TMZ, Azalea has now filed a lawsuit against Wine claiming that he downloaded the entire contents of her personal computer when they were still living together in Atlanta back in 2009. Azalea says that the content included unreleased master recordings.

Back in July, Wine reportedly announced to his fans that he was releasing a new EP from Azalea that would “shock the world.” However, Azalea claims that Wine used the stolen recordings to create his new EP.

Azalea also claims that Wine pasted together a signature from a legit contract she once signed with him to forge her signature for the alleged fake contract that he’s now boasting about that allows him to release her music.

However, the oddest thing about Azalea’s lawsuit is that she makes no mention at all of the alleged sex tape that she and Wine both star in.

Perhaps Azalea’s legal team plans to use a hidden angle in their claims to shut down Wine’s plans to sell the alleged sex tape to Vivid Entertainment, who are offering Azalea a seven-figure sum for the rights to the tape. Or perhaps they’re sticking to Azalea’s previous claims that there is no sex tape.

Considering how many twists and turns this scandal has had, we expect to hear more details about Azalea’s lawsuit in the near future. – nicholas robinson
