Iggy Azalea responds to Rah Digga: ‘What does it matter?’

Rapper Iggy Azalea was roundly criticized by veteran hip-hop artist Rah Digga recently after Digga was asked about Iggy during an interview with ThisIs50. Rah Digga dismissed Iggy’s music as “not hip-hop” and shared that she’s “not into” Azalea’s persona because the young Australian starlet raps in a fake Dirty South accent.

Iggy responded to Rah Digga’s criticism in a series of tweets that could be described as both bemused and defensive.

“I honestly don’t really mind if I’m described as rap or pop. My passion is purely making music and entertaining,” Iggy Azalea wrote in a tweet.

Iggy went on to tweet that she doesn’t understand why she’s being scrutinized so much.

“It’s definitely funny seeing ppl get so emotional over it all. What does it matter? music is music and many enjoy mine, no need to feel upset,” Iggy Azalea wrote.
