This writer had the distinct pleasure to receive an invitation to the Boutique Crawl, a ride and drive event curated specifically for fashion journalists and bloggers. We were handed the keys to a 2015 Lincoln MKC and have been included on a list of firsts to drive Lincoln’s first small premium utility vehicle throughout the city of Atlanta. We had our color choice of Ruby Red (my fave), White Platinum, Silver Sand and the very unique Tahitian Pearl (i.e., purple).
After lunch at the Mandarin Oriental, a luxury hotel located in the tony Buckhead section of the city, we visited two of the area’s top luxury boutiques: Emly Benham in the historically charming Vinings area and Bill Hallman located in the city’s culturally rich and coveted Virginia Highland community.
Along with hosts Tami (TalkingWithTami.com) and Arkeedah (ItsArkeedah.com), we engaged in conversations around fashion and learned more about the design and key technologies found in the MKC, including the motion-sensored lift gate that responds to the wave of your foot. It’s a perfect amenity when your hands are filled with shopping bags.
Tami shared tips and trends she spotted during fashion week and Arkeedah offered tips on androgynous styling.
The evening closed with dinner at Kevin Rathbun Steak.
