Ebony Fashion Fair exhibit at Museum of Design Atlanta wows fashion fans

“This exhibit is great for Atlanta. It really would be great anywhere,” offers designer B Michael during a recent interview hours before the preview party. Michael, whose foray into fashion was millinery, which included designing for the late Oscar de la Renta.

“I’ve had the good fortune of  having known Eunice Johnson and that she selected, from each of my collections, during her tenure. One of my gowns was selected to be part of this exhibit. Over the years of her producing Fashion Fair, she amassed 8,000 looks. To have been chosen, I feel very honored.”


Other iconic designs on display include garments by Yves Saint-Laurent, Oscar de la Renta, Christian Dior, Naeem Khan and Missoni, among others. It was organized by The Chicago History Museum.
