Kanye West was offered a deal that would make him one of the highest paid acts in Vegas. Planet Hollywood presented Yeezy with a formal offer for about $4.5 million for a residency at Axis at Planet Hollywood on the famous Las Vegas strip. TMZ reports that the three-week residency would break down to about $500,000 per show.
West’s response? No thanks.
West would’ve been earning more than J. Lo ($350,000); Britney Spears ($475,000) and Celine Dion ($476,000) for their respective Vegas tenures. It hasn’t been revealed exactly why Yeezy decided to turn down the offer.
West’s Yeezus Tour from last year was one of his most successful; eventually becoming North America’s second-highest grossing tour of 2013, behind only Paul McCartney’s Out There Tour. West shared the stage with other acclaimed opening acts like Kendrick Lamar, A Tribe Called Quest, and Pusha T.
