In a possible case of real life imitating art, actress Tasha Smith, best known for her role as the fiery Angela in Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married? franchise, is now under a court order to keep her distance from her husband.

According to TMZ, hubby Keith Douglas has filed a protective order against his wife after she allegedly made numerous threats against him.

In his filing, Douglas alleges that Smith often goes on drunken tirades and has repeatedly threatened to kill him or have people hurt him and warned him to “not fall asleep or something will happen.” Douglas also claims that some of these outbursts have happened in front of their children and there have been times when he’s literally had run away from Smith when she becomes riled.

The judge in the matter hesitated to order Smith out of the house until there is a full hearing, but in the meantime, when both Smith and Douglas are in the house, she must stay at least two yards (six feet) away from him, and when outside the house she must stay at least 100 yards away.

Smith’s management has yet to make a comment on the allegations but sources close to her vehemently deny that she has a drinking problem.
