Famed minister Myles Munroe dead at 60

Beloved minister Dr. Myles Munroe, founder of Bahamas Faith Ministries and president of Myles Munroe International, and his wife Ruth were killed Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, when his plane crashed in the Bahamas.


According to the Bahamas Tribune, there were nine victims on the small plane that hit a crane on approach to the Grand Bahama International Airport. There were no survivors.


Munroe, 60, was on his way to the Global Leadership Forum in Freeport, Grand Bahama, which he organized. According to the Myles Munroe Facebook page, the event will continue as planned from November 10-13, 2014. It reads:

Dear Facebook Friends,


On behalf of Myles Munroe International and ITWLA. We would like to inform you that the Global Leadership Forum will continue. The Forum will be for two and a half days (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning). This is what Dr. Munroe would have wanted. Please keep his family and the ministry in prayers.

According to The Associated Press, the Lear 36 Executive Jet had departed from Nassau. It crashed about 5 p.m. local time.

The couple is survived by their adult son Chairo.

**UPDATE: Dr. Myles Munroe, along with his wife and daughter, Charisa died in the plane crash. (Nov. 10, 2014)
