Herman J. Russell, founder and CEO emeritus of H.J. Russell & Co., a construction and real estate firm which was founded in 1957 and is one of the largest minority-owned companies in the United States, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at the age of 83.
Russell’s wake will be held Friday, November 21 at 6 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church located at 407 Auburn Ave. NE, and the funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. at St. Philip AME Church located at 240 Candler Rd. SE.
