B. Smith, 64, has been missing since Tuesday at 8 p.m., according to her husband and business partner Dan Gasby, who made the report when she didn’t return to their Southampton (Long Island, NY) home. Smith, whose first name is Barbara, announced earlier this year she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
“I think the future’s going to be fine,” she said. “I’m going to do my best to make it work out for me and for as many people that I can possibly help, too.”
She was last seen wearing a blue sweater, pink shirt, jeans and black sneakers when she arrived from New York City on a jitney.
Update: Smith was found at La Parisienne Coffee House on 7th Avenue in Manhattan on Wednesday after the proprietor recognized her and called Sag Harbor police.
